Cosmetic eye contact lenses

Cosmetic contact lenses have only recently come onto the market. Even if they were created with the aim of remedying congenital malformations or traumas of the front of the eye, some models have the sole purpose of changing the color of the eyes.

Cosmetic contact lenses can assist in the treatment of certain pathologies such as amblyopia or ocular opacities, they can be useful for reducing photophobia, improving visual perception in the case of aniridia (absence of iris), in cases of albinism and iridectomy ( an operation performed in cases of glaucoma or pathologies of the iris which consists of a small hole in the colored part of the eye).
